Is there any temporal structured illumination? or structured illumination along the optical axis? Contemporary is spatial structured illumination. Is it possible to use a single objective to generate structured illumination along optical axis? One way is to do temporal focusing, which is a pulse along the optical axis. Is there a way to create a comb? Alternatively, if illumination and detection axes are not the same, a temporal structured illumination along one axis is the same as a spatial structured illumination along the other.
